Why this photo should NOT be deleted

This book cover is historically relevant. It represents a time, place, and event that is better depicted to the reader with this image. Not sure why the robot marked this for deletion (super frustrating actually).

• This image in NO way competes with the copyright holder's use. The book is well out of print, copyright holder is long passed away, and is unlikely to be put into print again.
• I am willing to reduce the resolution. "In most cases, this reduction will occur automatically: simply wait 24 hours and a bot will resize the image file according to the guideline at WP:IMAGERES. Where an automatic reductions does not occur or if a manual reduction is desired, the size of an image may be reduced in an image editing program or by saving and re-uploading a suitably sized thumbnail." I am waiting 24 hours before doing it myself.
• Is it used for commentary on a particular topic? Yes. Ezra Taft Benson was the Secretary of Agriculture in the Eisenhower administration, and in the 1960s was floating a presidential run. He began to espouse the idea that the Civil Rights Movement was being used as a tool for introducing communism into the United States. This image was controversial, as such, historically relevant.

The question has to do with not whether the book itself is notable or whether there is sourced critcial commentary about it in the article, but rather whether there is sourced critical commentary about the cover art itself in the article that goes beyond a simple descriptive sentence. Non-free book covers are generally OK to upload per item 1 of WP:NFCI when the cover art is used for primary identification purposes in the main infobox or at the top of a stand-alone article about the book itself, but using such cover art in other ways or in other articles is generally much harder to justify per WP:NFC#cite_note-3. That seems to reflective as to how this file is being used in Ezra Taft Benson#Civil Rights Movement, where all of the sourced critical commentary content is about the book itself, and not even the citation given in the caption for the image is to any sourced critical commentary about the cover itself. The caption for the image is bascially WP:OR that is unsupported by any citation to a reliable sources that states the book's cover to be controversial. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:08, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
