Nice map, although Saraqib has been under rebel control for weeks now! Also, maybe it's good to ad Bab al Hawa, Taftanaz and Kafr Nabal to the map to get a better understanding of the situation, since those three towns are rebel bases for attacks on loyalist forces.

To clarify - blue mean unknown situation/contested. This town is under rebel control, but under heavy attack. It probably should be changed to brown with blue circle. And Jisr al-Shughur is regime-controlled EllsworthSK (talk) 00:46, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think the new map is more accurate. Altough I do support adding more places to the map. I suggest the following:

1. Ad Taftanaz (since there's a large military airbase there that is besieged by the Al-Nusra Front and the FSA) 2. Ad Salqin, Armanaz, Darkush and Harem north of Idlib (all rebel controlled) 3. Ad Kafr Nabal and Al-Bara in Jabal al Zawiya north of Ma'arat al-Numan. This mountain area is a rebel stronghold 4. Ad Bab al-Hawa and Kafr Taal northeast and east of Atarib in the Aleppo direction as rebel controlled 5. Add Binnish west of Idlib city as governement controlled

It would be cool to ad a red and green layer to show regime and rebel controle. This would mean that everything is red, except Idlib/Binnish/Taftanaz (a green area inside the red area), and Jisr ash-Shigour with a westward angle towards Ariha. To the south, the green area should extend from Ma'arat al-Numan (just south of the town) with a wide eastward bow towards the outskirts of Abu Ad Duhur towards Aleppo City itself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.24.43.183 (talk) 09:27, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
