Error in synthesis

[edit]

This image is good in most respects but there is one error involved. I believe that the addition of ammonium chloride does not result in the formation of morphine hydrochloride, in fact, the result is morphine in freebase form which precipitates out of solution at the correct pH. The morphine is subsequently dissolved in hydrochloric acid to produce the hydrochloride salt. Would anyone be willing to update the image to display the correct information?
