this pictured seems distorted. almost as if some one used to the stretch tool around his jawline as a stupid joke. somebody please correct this.

Are you serious? If you had read the article about this man, you'd know that his jaw and cheek became this way after he was hit by a Soviet bullet in battle. Also, sign your posts. --92.64.206.139 (talk) 22:22, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that it looks slightly fake, but I don't know much about taking a bullet to the face (hopefully I won't be an expert, either). Bllasae (talk) 02:04, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's photoshopped. You can tell by the collar of his uniform being distorted. 68.119.226.82 (talk) 22:31, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The picture in the article isn't very representative because the thumbnail seems to make his face lookk rippled (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5a/Simo_hayha_second_lieutenant_1940.png)

Proof that he looked like that - http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3260/3140119072_141777faf7.jpg —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thecarofmiki (talkcontribs) 23:13, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not doubting that he actually took a bullet to the jaw, I'm just saying that this PARTICULAR picture looks as if somebody just played with the stretch/smudge tool. Particularly where a piece of his skin seemingly just juts out. 151.204.150.172 (talk) 07:03, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Here is a coloured picture that shows the inury better, the "jutting piece" is the background, not his face: http://www.ww2incolor.com/finnish_forces/simo.html Viciouspiggy (talk) 08:44, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
