Seriously, who can play Ab above the treble clef? even with trick fingerings, a high note bocal, and biting the reed, G is the only plausible note up there.
A or A-flat at the top?
[edit]Some versions of this image, including the one I currently see on Bassoon show an A at the top, not A♭. @Jeremy Visser: - any ideas why that is? Tayste (edits) 08:30, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
- I can reproduce the issue. This link has the flat:
- But this link is missing the flat:
- If I download the SVG itself and render it locally, I always get it without the flat, and if I download the previous revision, I always get the flat. Given the SVG hasn't been modified since 2009 this is surprisingly long-standing for a caching issue. I suspect the fix will be to re-upload a new SVG of whatever we need the correct note to be.
- At this point we need to decide what the correct note to display is.
- What is the range actually supposed to be? Both A and A-flat are pretty extreme to me, but as I'm not a professional player I'm not equipped to make a judgement call there. — Jeremy 02:03, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
