Non-free image

File:Portrait of Vivek Chibber, academic and sociologist.jpg This person has no personal site, no organization or group dedicated to his biography. But he's a scholar, and on Wikipedia identification is the aim. So this non-free image is used for primary identification. As of now, there's no free alternative available, and can't be arranged by request. When it is available, this image will be removed.--Fasi100 (talk) 19:39, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Fasi100: Wikipedia has strict requirements for non-free files that need to be met to keep a file; they can be found at WP:NFCC. This file cannot remain here since it fails the guidelines found at the following two shortcuts: WP:NFCC#1 and WP:NFC#UUI (point 1). In a nutshell, the file cannot remain since the subject is still alive. Wikipedia promotes having free content whenever possible, and if the opportunity to create a free alternative exists, it is the only option here. Steel1943 (talk) 04:23, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
