An Obsolete Boundary that Is Presently Shown on Two Wikimedia/Wikipedia Maps that Should Be Corrected

[edit]

The boundary between the two dependent territories over which Pakistan exercises sovereignty, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, as presently shown on two Wikimedia/Wikipedia maps is an obsolete one that should be changed to the current and correct boundary that is shown on the third map below. The first two maps below are the ones that presently show that obsolete boundary.

Pakistan transferred the easternmost part of the Neelum District of Azad Kashmir to the Astore District of Gilgit-Baltistan, and that transfer of territory is reflected in the third map shown above. It should also be noted that Gilgit-Baltistan now consists of 14 districts, rather than the 10 districts that are shown on that third map above. The map below shows the present 14 districts and their names.
