Regarding: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Overhead_conductor_rails.jpg

This is an excellent photo of overhead conductors for traction.

What is the center conductor between the two insulated conductors attached to the

metal support brackets attached to the ceiling?

I believe the center wire is a ground conductor.

Furthermore, I can see another wire tapped to the center wire through a protective "tube"

and then to where? Where does this wire connect.....the other connection appears to be out of view.

Are there two bars to the left (1200VDC), the far left bar is ground and the other is live?

Perhaps one can provide a circuit drawing just below this photo link.
