Thanks TGCP. This is a useful chart. I think one color for all installations is good right now. Later, we might want to show new technologies, and their (potential) evolution from small to larger and more widely-distributed wind farms in a different color. Thanks. I agree with color. Many wind farms are not shown, and already we have density problems, so we might remove text at some point or make the image unusually large. A really cool feature would be if each point hyperlinked to the corresponding article (active image). Also, switches could toggle between showing different colors for tech (as you suggest) or countries, text on/off etc. Remember that anyone are welcome to edit that spreadsheet and image using OpenOffice.org Calc.
