This photo may have been photoshopped in 2005, but it was not taken in 2005. It was a photo originally used by the Wisconsin DOT for its map cover in 1982.
As evidence, 1. the standing deadwood trees are identical 2. State Hwy 35 had the bluff side shoulders paved in the late 1980s or early 90s. 3. The chance of catching the exact same barge tow arrangement on a day with the exact same lighting from the exact same vantage point is virtually zero.
