It would be nice to describe the location of the basement membrane. Since I am not an expert in this field, I am reluctant to make the edit directly; however, possibly something like " ... basement membrane, the thin white exterior of the blood vessel in the illustration" may be helpful (if that is correct). I think that an arrow pointing to it may not be clear if the basement membrane is, indeed, that very thin exterior of the cross section. It may be difficult to ascertain exactly what the arrow pointed to. A arrow in combination with the verbal description could work. If only a verbal description or an illustrative arrow is used, I think the verbal description would be clearer.
Also, adding a link for "basement membrane" to the topic on wiki would be nice. After having visited that link, I am still not clear on what the basement membrane is because in the description of basement membrane it sounds as if it is interior to the blood vessel, whereas in the illustration (The Metastasis Illustration, "How Cancer Spreads) it appears that the attachment is to the exterior of the vessel.
