I followed his link from the Wiki article on the Scholae Palatinae. AFAIK the armed men in the background are members of the Scholae Palatinae, NOT the Preatorian Guards, which were disbanded in around 306 AD (see the Relevant Wiki article. This page is similar with Relevant Wiki, see relevant Wiki's content.)
