CEDIM (Centro de Estudios Superiores de Diseño de Monterrey) is a private school of Art and Design located in the city of Monterrey, Mexico. Founded by Alejandro García in 1978, he believed that people could profit and improve their lifestyle through their creativity. With this in mind, he created a school of arts and design where creativity would be the key to professional success.
CEDIM has been a pioneer in the field of art and design. At the beginning the school offered associate degrees in Interior Design and Visual Merchandising.

Nowadays it is not enough to acquire knowledge the traditional way. We want to have empowering learning experiences, that will give us a better understanding of who we are, our potential and how we can use it to improve our lives. There is no doubt that creativity is an important competitive advantage for international business.
what is creativity?
Every human being has the ability and power to invent, create and innovate. Creativity raises and originates from inspiration and insightfulness, making us able to solve different problems, whether it is mechanically, intuitively or through analysis.
Creativity is a choice by which we express an idea in freedom. The world is counting on our ability to solve the historical and social challenges we face. The power is within us. Let’s put it to work!
what is design?
Design is the act of conceiving and proposing new ideas with the sole purpose of making them work better, enhancing the quality of our lives and our environment.
Design is everywhere, in the workplace, at home, in the streets, in the products and services we use.
what is art?
Art is a noble and human expression. From the beginning of time art has had a significant impact in our civilization. We use art to express political, religious, cultural or ideological beliefs; to redefine or question our culture and core- values; change archetypes, give up old beliefs and adopt new ones.
