"Free at last"

Could this inscription be explained in the description portion of the image page? What is the origins of the inscription? Obviously it's not a quote by King; corpses don't make commentary on their own death. But who really said what is written on the tomb? I hope this isn't a stupid question with a plainly obvious answer.

Never mind. I just looked it up on WikiQuote. It's a quote of his as well as one attributable to others. Rather than explain it, I'll just display the quote here. The context of what he is saying explains it fine. Here it is: When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last!
