   This picture is a very familar sight to me as I lived two houses back from this location on the right side of the street (South Street).  I recall when Plainville Drug was Averill's Garage and it was a really big deal to now have two pharmarcies in downtown Plainville.  Not seen in the picture is Don's Diner which is just back from the brick building on the left.  An institution of sorts, it is still in business in 2014.  I would go there to purchase cigarettes from the cigarette machine for my grandmother.  Cigarettes cost 17 cents.  Put two dimes in the machine and get back a cigarette package with three shiny new pennies in it.   More pictures of the area are needed.98.26.185.202 (talk) 00:49, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
