This is a VERY flawed picture. Balkans, the cradle of modern Europe and the first pasturalised culture in the world (i.e.continuous use of sheep and goat milk of 5 millennia) most certainly does not have a lactose intollerance of even 10%, let alone 50-60%, and neither does Italy, the home of over 300 types of cheeses have an intolelrance of 40%.

Also, the division between south and north of France (also a country renowned for a variety of its cheeses) is certainly not as strict as drawn on the picture and not as big as 0-10% vs. 40-50%.

This preposterous claim is just plain rubbish altogether.
