Justification for image
[edit]Whoever left the remark saying the image "does not significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would not be detrimental to that understanding" clearly hasn't looked at the actual page.
A large feature of this now defunct book series is that every book came out with two covers: A bookshop version, and a direct market version. This image clearly shows the difference in trade dress. That's literally the point. It's the third par of the article.
Not only that, this page had a 'needs image' tag on it for a very long time. I've tried to address that. There's no point in people drive-bying these pages with that "needs image" tag if, when somebody tries to do something about it, a person *with zero knowledge of the subject matter* doesn't bother to do any reading before rejecting. This whole process is ridiculous. Peterspeterson (talk) 22:11, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Do you even know what is significant for an article and what is not? Where in authoritative sources is this distinction mentioned? Do you understand that I can demolish everything you wrote and I will be right? And let's be simpler, ok? — Ирука13 23:18, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Who goes onto a page and says "I can demolish everything you wrote" and then cries about bad faith?! You're literally proving the point. Nothing says "bad faith" more than making threats.
- I didn't make Marvel Premiere Classic page. It's been on here for a long time. I simply finished it, seeing as it had been tagged for more information and an image - all of which I added. With the image, the page is essentially complete.
- What fails the verification? The ISBNs to prove the books exist? The sources for the beginning and end of the line? What further sources are you expecting? A book is announced, and it comes out. As cited. The line was cancelled, as cited. It's not as if there's a wealth of material beyond that for any book release. If you're after more than that, you could remove 80% of all content here.
- Besides, it's a complete line of over 100 books, published by one of the two biggest comics publishers on earth. Isn't that notable? Why do you decide? Again, I didn't create this page; I simply did the mop-up work. If it was never notable why was it on here in the first place?
- Let's have an administrator look at this - especially in regards to your threats. Embarrassing, condescending, pathetic behaviour. Or, as I said, ridiculous. Peterspeterson (talk) 23:37, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
