Contested deletion

Not necessarily a contest of speedy deletion, but is this an explicit rule or guideline, to not have a description page for files on Commons? Or is this just an unwritten custom we have here? Because if the latter, I don't see why we can't apply WP:IAR or the eventualism concept included on the 5 pillars; I was trying to have a place where we can have all the MLB team logos in one place here on the English Wikipedia specifically.

Pinging @Explicit as it seems you already deleted the ones for the Rays, Yankees, and Tigers and I would like to know your thoughts on it. Maybe worth noting that the analogous NFL category also exists (but I believe this one doesn't have any of the logos on Commons, either). --Soulbust (talk) 17:48, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
