Non-free images like this aren't generally allowed to illustrate list-like sections of articles unless the image itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained WP:NFC#CS or seeing the image signifcantly improves the reader's understanding of subject matter to the degree that non seeing it would be detrimental to that understanding. This image shows Brown as he appeared on the show, but he was just one of many perfomrers who appeared on the show and a non-free image of him doesn't need to be seen for the reader to understand he appeared on the show. The reader doesn't need to see how Brown goes down on his knee, especially since there's no sourced critical commentary of Brown's appearance and him going down on his knee. It was contested by Bubba73 (talk · contribs) with the comment: I removed the PROD because I moved the photo out of the "list of performers" section and because the performance by James Brown is discussed in the body of the article. |
