This looks like a misunderstanding. There is an Imperial State Crown, yes indeed, but that is a different design. It has been worn by Charles III at his coronation. It is a large crown with more arches and fabulous gems like the cullinan , the Stuart saphire and the large red Black Princes' ruby, actualy a spinel. Ql This drawing is the so called "Tudor crown". It does not exist in real life. It is a heraldic device, a crown that only exists as a drawing. It has been used a lot as a symbol of royal authority, on stamps, documents etcetera, but imperial? An imperial crown? I doubt it... it is, as I understand it, "just" the Tudor crown.

Is this name correct

[edit]

isn't this the heraldic Tudor Crown? There is an Imperial State Crown but that is very different. Robert Prummel (talk) 04:45, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
