omg this looks so dangerous... what if stone from the ground hit the dog. --72.229.231.53 (talk) 06:08, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

this design is cruel and stupid. what if a passing vehicle comes to close to the dog and rips off its head? not to mention the animal can seize up and choke in this position.

that's physically impossible; the box is recessed from the outer edge of the truck. a passing vehicle would hit the wheel hubs and a wreck would ensue. it wouldn't/couldn't simply pass too close and "rip off its head." also, the animal isn't going to "seize up and choke," because it is confined in this manner--it's just a hole in a box; he is free to retract his head and lie down whenever he wants to. he's poking his head out voluntarily. yeah, it's a shocking image if you're not familiar with farming (or, specifically, farming in New Zealand), but i'm sure they put a lot of effort into ensuring the dogs's safety. the livestock is worth a lot of money, and it's the dog's job to move the livestock, therefore the dog is worth a lot of money. 184.38.17.178 (talk) 05:45, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
