The Harrisburg Rail Station Train Loading area is under a large roofed structure that is listed as a National Engineering Landmark. The Structures Architects used the then new structural steel materials, combined with wood, that became the foundation for the construction of the American Skyscrapers. This is a condensed version of the commemorative plaque located on the buildings East wall inside from the ticket window, and adjacent to the waiting area above the loading platforms.
