I call fake. How can a photo this high quality be from the year 1911?????? Look it even has chroma distortion. What kind of colour film had this kind of colour depth? I suspect a digital camera.

No, it's a Prokudin-Gorski picture; he was a pioneer in color photography before the Russian Revolution. This picture is an automated composite of near-simultaneous high-resolution plate-glass negatives in separate color planes (or... something like that; I don't fully understand it myself) -- although this composite was made in 2000, the negatives it's based on were made in 1911. The chroma distortion is the result of the limits in his technique (one of which was a several-second exposure time). DS (talk) 13:43, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
