File talk:Geological time spiral - sharper.png
Appearance
The .png is much better, and available at a higher resolution. Use it!
Was it necessary to replace the original image with this low-resolution one? You can barely read the text. --24.205.38.166 (talk) 12:15, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. I don't really see how this version increases legibility either, honestly. The contrast was increased to the point that all the light areas have become blown out—which doesn't help the legibility of the dates any—and then the picture was shrunk down for some reason. The other version might not be completely legible as a thumbnail, but that's why there's a full resolution available. --98.232.98.144 (talk) 01:06, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
- I can't compared as neither you has given a link.
- The size and colours were agreed at Talk:Evolutionary history of life/GA1. The reason is to highlist the text part of the img, eras on the river and periods in the mountains.
- I'm surprised either of you can read the the current img - I'm ancient and have very poor eyesight, but can read the img w/o glasses. --Philcha (talk) 06:31, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
