Image background

[edit]

Although it seems customary to post logos and other vector images to Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons with a transparent background, the Frontier Communications Corporation logo is always presented on a white, opaque background, and so it has been presented here for use in Wikipedia. As long as we are using their logo under claim of "Fair Use", it behooves us to preserve the image in its entirety, without alteration. — Quicksilver (Hydrargyrum)T @ 21:52, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That is a very bizarre argument with absolutely no legal basis. ViperSnake151  Talk  16:43, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
User:ViperSnake151: Also go to the company's website at https://frontier.com/ and check the logo on that page. The copy at the top of the page, [1], has a transparent background. --Stefan2 (talk) 17:44, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Even more so, that image is ineligible for copyright to begin with. ViperSnake151  Talk  18:25, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
