I thought a fractal always displayed the same similar figures as the magnification increased but in the mandlebrot set the figures change to different types with increasing magnification. Some characteristics do reoccur. Is this really a fractal or something else? Or does the term "fractals" include this type of figures? Arydberg (talk) 02:02, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
