New Map

[edit]

@LenguaMapa: Hello again. Can you give links to researches which you've used to create this new map. From my knowledge, very few regional groups have 20+ percentage of L. There are social groups with much higher L, but when we consider the overall population of that region, it falls below. For example, Jats of Punjab and Haryana in India have around 37% L, but the total percentage of Jats in Punjab is 25%. Now 37% of 25% = 9%, similarly for Haryana, the total L based on Jat values will be 11%. It should be noted that researches on South Asian populations are based mostly based on specific social/caste groups which most of the time represent a small chunk of the overall population of the region. Moreover, you do not need to work to much on populations of Punjab, Gujarat states. We have results of the total regional/state population as per Kivisild which is 12.1% (Indian Punjab) and 10.4 (Gujarat). Punjab, Pakistan has much lower 4.17 as per Poznik 2016, which is lower than Bengalis of Bangladesh who are at 4.76. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:24, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
