Please note that, contrary to some labeling on WP, this snake is not sidewinding. The entire anterior portion of the body is lifted for a complete wavelength, while the entire posterior is on the ground. These patterns do not correspond to sidewinding kinematics in any known species. Please see Jayne 86 and Jayne 88 for further details. HCA (talk) 15:31, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
