But What is the Dollar amount
- There are no definitive income tresholds for different social classes, especially as the distribution of households on the income and class strata doesn't match. For example, two nurses may earn $110,000 while a full-professor may only earn $86,000 - the difference in income, caused by the difference in the number of income earners is neither reflective of a difference in status nor standard of living. The professor with a Ph.D. and great job autonomy would still be considered upper-middle, while he or she may also have a higher standard of living if he or she has a smaller household than the former - For example: a household making $110k w/ 2 children and 2 paretns will have a lower standard of living than a single person making $86k. Considering that household income is not neccessarily reflective of standard of living, education and occupation, while individual income is only reflective of occupation and education but even less reflective of standard of living it would be reckless and misleading of me to five you exact income figures.
