Deletion of "Unlock It" artwork
[edit]About whether "Unlock It" doesn't have a cover is something I disagree for the following reasons:
- It's true that in Spotify, all the singles Pop 2 show the album's cover and don't have an artwork of its own. However, Spotify it's not the only source that can determine if a single has its own cover or not.
- The cover I uploaded comes a post from Charli's official Tumblr account. Kim Petras also uploaded the same image to her Facebook.
- It was designed by the same person who did the cover for "Out of My Head". If the cover of "Unlock It" has to be deleted because it doesn't appear in Spotify, the artwork for "Out of My Head" should be deleted also.
- Regardless of whether a song doesn't have a cover on streaming platforms, other articles have used promotional images for singles.
After @Launchballer removed the cover, I didn't understand when you said the cover "was something else", as if the cover was another image that Charli released that day but from what you wrote in the fair-use template, I suppose that you're saying that the song doesn't have its own artwork. On Twitter I couldn't find a cover on the release day. To conclude, if you can find stronger reasons that "Unlock It" has another artwork or doesn't have a one of its own, feel free to send them because I don't really get why the uploaded cover has to be deleted with the sources I provided. Got it in one. The archive Spotify link shows that while a dedicated cover may well have been made, it wasn't used on the single. I just checked again, and it wasn't even being used on the 12th. And yes I do think that the Out of My Head artwork should scram also given that it wasn't even being used on the day it was released, though I'm not planning on taking that song to GA in the next month. (I'm slowly but surely working my way through all of the Piri & Tommy-related articles and I plan on nominating as a job lot.)--Launchballer 22:12, 11 November 2024 (UTC)- I guess that since we're keeping our positions about the use of this cover, we should look for more people to share their opinions whether we keep it or delete it (because I still can't find why we can use it). I'll tag @Ss112, who is someone I think is experienced with these type of discussions and help us with a solution. PS: Good luck with the articles you're working on. Hope they can become GA. :) GiankM. M (talk) 00:15, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
