The graphic tables attached and titled "Leading causes of death in the United States" are erroneous (see http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/lcod.htm), to wit:

Number of deaths for leading causes of death:

   * Heart disease: 631,636
   * Cancer: 559,888
   * Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 137,119
   * Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 124,583
   * Accidents (unintentional injuries): 121,599
   * Diabetes: 72,449
   * Alzheimer's disease: 72,432
   * Influenza and Pneumonia: 56,326
   * Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 45,344
   * Septicemia: 34,234

I suspect that the author has some sort of anti-gun agenda, since he neglected to mention in his graphs, the 130,000+ deaths from strokes. Which is listed as the number three cause of death in both the 2002 and 2006 figures.

Note well that there is NO mention, by the CDC, of firearms deaths. (These are 2006 figures, not the 2002 figures the graph author supposed used, which, btw, support the contention that the graphs author is untruthful.
