The result was to delete the image. — ξxplicit 00:15, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This is the first image I have uploaded on WP. I would like to ask for help from editors to correct any mistakes I may have made when including information with the image when I uploaded it.
Here is the information that I included; however, as I note below, I am not exactly sure of the terminology I should use to express that this image may be used and is the best available encyclopedic photo available of the subject.
Do I need to delete this photo and upload it again under a different use clause? I am new at this and would appreciate any help. Here is the information I have included with the photo thus far:
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed| As a new editor, I may need some help in revising the information I included with the photo when uploading the file because I am unfamiliar with the WP terminology; however, WP definitely has permission from the owner of the photo to use this photo as demonstrated via email to the WP article author: [[User:Zoeefeelay|Zoeefeelay]] ([[User talk:Zoeefeelay|talk]]) 19:24, 18 June 2012 (UTC). Hello. First thing, please don't remove the deletion tags somebody else placed on the file page. About the image itself, it's great if you have got a permission from the author; however, according to our own licensing rules, we can accept such a permission only if it covers not just us, but also allows free re-use by anybody else, for any purpose. Did the owners give you a full permission under such terms (e.g. by placing it under the "Creative Commons-Attribution" cc-by license)? Unless that is the case, I'm afraid we won't be able to use it. It certainly cannot be used as a "non-free" file, because it fails our "irreplaceability" criterion. The question is not whether a free replacement already exist. What matters is simply the fact that this person is still alive, so a new and free photograph could in principle be created. Fut.Perf. ☼ 09:23, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
