File talk:Aratame sanbu sadame silver coin 1859 Japan.jpg
Hello!
There must has been a confusion while naming this picture. Even thou it says "1859 Japan", you can clearly see "1856" on one side and "Republica Mexicana" in the other. I dont know much about coins, but I think it pictures the hat of Miguel Hidalgo who made the mexican independence movement possible in 1810. That may be the reason we can read "Libertad" on the hat :)
Cheers and keep the good work!
FH
--- That hat is unrelated to Miguel Hidalgo, maybe you are confusing Hidalgo with Morelos, whom is represented wearing a bandana; however, it's also unrelated to Morelos, the hat in the coin actually is a phrygian cap, a freedom symbol, they probably chose it because of the french.
