File talk:American Embassy in Amman.jpg
Hi,
I hope the uploader still is active and reads this... sorry my English is not best (I'm a Polish guy born in Berlin, Germany), however it is common in many states that pictures or videos of buildings like airports, every kind of military, special places, infrastructure which is used by civilians and military... but I'm wondering about the sentence:
This photo doesn't do justice to the full expanse of this facility, of which all photography within 50 feet is forbidden, and which is guarded by tanks.
Tanks? The Embassy is US territory, but I think there is no embassy, no matter of which country which has tanks inside their embassy, it would be possible by transporting tanks through helicopters, but even in the night everyone in the city would notice it and the goverment of the state (Jordan in that case) needs to give their "ok" for the airspace I think.
Jordan Military protecting the Embassy with tanks? In the movie with Leonardo DiCaprio (Body of Lies) (German title translated is better: The man, who never existed). In this movie the Jordanian Intelligence Agency General Intelligence Directorate is doing a good job and in fact it is one of the best in this difficult region, and there is a good relationship between the GID (Dairat al-Mukhabarat al-Ammah or دائرة المخابرات العامة) and the CIA, Homeland Security, FBI and the others of which we maybe even don't know the name... so Jordanian, US or maybe even fake Tanks with a mounted heavy machine gun?!
