Re: dispusted replaceable fair use

The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of a fair use image as a replaceable image. Please do not modify it.

The result was to delete the image.

This orphaned talk page, subpage, image page, or similar is not eligible for speedy deletion under CSD G8 as it has been asserted to be useful to Wikipedia.

Unable to find any free use images and photo is only used to identify the author

Per WP:NFC#UUI, it is "almost always considered possible" that a freely licensed photograph could be taken if the person depicted is still alive and active in their field. The test is not strictly whether a freely licensed photo has actually been found, but also whether one "could be created" (WP:FREER). Based on this, I feel that this image violates the WP:NFCC as being replaceable despite the uploader's dispute rationale. Nick—^Contact/_Contribs 04:40, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
