To illustrate an original encyclopedic article about the murder of the subject of the image, on Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia. The image is used to illustrate to a reader the appearance of the subject shortly before her death. Finding the subject on CCTV was considered a breakthrough in the case, and involved the drafting in of counter-terrorism trained police officers. |

The photo is of the same resolution as the web source, which is already of a reduced resolution from the original CCTV footage. The image has been released to the public for broad distribution by Strathclyde Police, who would not lose profit from its further distribution. It is believed to be free for distribution and reuse. It has been extensively disseminated in the news media, both TV, print and digital, since its first release in 2010. As a cctv still it lacks any substantial creative element. |
