English: Zhu Ye Qing Tea (竹叶青), also known as green bamboo leaf tea, is a tea that grows on the slopes of Mount Emei in the Sichuan province, China. It was given the name Zhu Ye Qing by the Foreign Minister Chen Yi in 1964 when he first tasted the tea in the Temple of Ten Thousand Years in Mount Emei. The name means 'green bamboo leaf', which is a tribute to its clear liquid appearance and its leaves that seemingly dance in the water when infused.
