20151024_DEU_SR_9 MEDITERRANEAN SEA -- While participating in NATO's Exercise TRIDENT JUNCTURE 2015, the combined task group composed of SNMG2 units and three further ships are conducting a manoeuvring exercise during which the ships are sailing in different formations. Depicted is Italian frigate ZEFFIRO while conducting a "Sail Past Salute". At the end of the manoeuvring exercise all participating ships sailed in a line with SNMG2 flagship German frigate HAMBURG at the front. Beginning with the last ship, one ship after the other is passing the line of ships and positioning herself at the front of the line (October 24, 2015). The units of Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2) are sailing in the Mediterranean Sea, inter alia, participating in multinational exercises and Operation ACTIVE ENDEAVOUR, showing presence of the Alliance and conducting routine port visits in NATO and Non-NATO countries.
