The 1,600-square-foot (150 m²) classroom-like Center is nestled on the second largest weland site of the Jordan River at 5044 S. Lucky Clover Lane (approx.5100 South and 800 West) in Murray, Utah. This location is a peaceful, natural spot preserved in an urban setting that overlooks a beautiful bend in the river.

Through a generous initial donation from Kennecott Utah Copper Corporation, the efforts of the Murray Education Foundation, and the assistance of many community donors, the dream for this environmental education center was realized. It is a unique partnership with Murray School District, Murray City and Kennecott Utah Copper Corporation working together to manage the costs of upkeep, staff and operation..
