National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty
Location
England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Historically, the trust tended to focus on English country houses, which still make up the largest part of its holdings, but it also protects historic landscapes such as in the Lake District, historic urban properties, and nature reserves.
English: The young man is dressed in clothes appropriate for a merchant – a black cap, cloak and red tunic. He faces slightly to his right and looks thoughtfully into the distance. It is possible that the flower (known as a "pink") he holds in his hand alludes to an engagement.
