Japanese officers standing behind LtG. Tachibana are (left to right): Lieutenant Commander I. Shinoda, Major Y. Horie, Captain J. Sato and Captain S. Terasawa. At the extreme left is Lieutenant David C. McMillion, USNFrançais : Le lieutenant-général Yoshio Tachibana, de l'armée japonaise, s'apprête à signer les documents de reddition des îles Bonin, le 3 septembre 1945, au large de Chichi Jima, à bord de l'USS Dunlap (DD-384).
