Summary

Description
English: Modern western yoga, consisting largely of asanas, has been accused of cultural appropriation from South Asian tradition, some people seeing that as a pure, unchanged essence. Scholars see a more complex history with multiple sources and changes, where modern forms continue a long process of cultural exchanges.
