Summary

Description

Ynglist wheel of the year, symbolising the structure of time in the Ynglist movement's doctrine. The nine-pointed star is the "star of Yngly" (звезда Инглии, zvezda Yngliy). Yngly is the personification of the Ynglia, the fiery ordering action of the supreme God of the universe which is often represented at the centre of the star as a hooked cross, a thunder (Perun) or as a sword. The star of Yngly is also called oberezhnik (обережник, symbol of the "guardian") and mati-gotka (мати-готка, "ready mother") in popular tradition, referring to matter ready to be ordained by the divine force.

The signs contained between the nine tips are the Ynglist runes of the nine months of the Ynglist calendar, to be read leftwise. The first one, a hooked cross, is the symbol of the first month, Ramkhat, and at the same time the symbol of Yngly, the ordering action of the supreme God. Ramkhat represents the beginning of such ordering process which takes the shape of the year. The following runes/months are Ay (Ай), Bey (Бэй), Gey (Гэй), Day (Дай), E (Э), Vey (Вэй), Xey (Хей), and Tay (Тай).
