Description

Working drawings of five different bracket arm bases and two cantilever arms, from the Chinese building manual of the Yingzao Fashi, published in the year 1103 by Li Jie, an architect and official of the Song Dynasty.

This picture appears on page 109 of Joseph Needham's book Science and Civilization in China: Volume 4, Part 3, Civil Engineering and Nautics.
