Summary

Description Wyethia helenioides—gray mule ears. Grows in the inner North Coast Ranges and Sierra Foothills north of about Yosemite. The plant is, if a Google search is any indication, widely used in homeopathy. It's a tough drought-resistant plant that should add color to gardens away from the immediate coast. Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
