Description
English: Monument to Wuhan's people overcoming the Yangtze Flood of 1954, with Mao Zedong's inscription. Right side view (fragment): a relief on the right side of the pedestal, displaying people fighting the flood, raising flags and a Quotation from Chairman Mao (毛主席语录) above their heads. The text of the quotation: "下定决心，不怕牺牲，排除万难，去争取胜利" ("Be resolute, fear no sacrifice and surmount every difficulty to win victory"), from "The Foolish Old Man Who Removed the Mountains" (June 11, 1945), Selected Works, Vol. III, p. 321.
Русский: Деталь монумента в память борьбы с наводнением 1954 в Ухане. Барельеф на правой стороне постамента, трудящиеся борются с наводнением, с флагами и цитатником Мао Цзэдуна (毛主席语录).
