This historical map image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.


It is recommended to name the SVG file “World 1975 empires colonies territory.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

Australia NZ and Canada are not totally independent (they recognize british monarchs as having some degree of authority while practically not) thus why not include them?

Tried to clean up a bit the other colours. By the way, I'm not sure if Canada, Australia and N-Z can still be considered as colonies in 1975?
