Summary

Description
English: Map of scheduled airline traffic around the world, circa June 2009. Contains 54317 routes, rendered at 25% transparency. Base map is NASA Blue Marble (PD) plus airports from file:World-airport-map-2008.png, route data is from Airline Route Mapper, rendering by OpenFlights (Open Database License). PHP source code for rendering available at the OpenFlights SVN.

This map image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.


It is recommended to name the SVG file “World-airline-routemap-2009.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
