English: Church of England parish church of the Holy Rood, Woodeaton, Oxfordshire: tiebeam, rood beam and hatchments over chancel arch. Hatchment of John Weyland of Woodrising Hall, Norfolk and Woodeaton, Oxfordshire, who married Elizabeth Johanna Nourse, daughter and co-heiress of John Nourse of Woodeaton. Their son was WEYLAND, Richard (1780-1864), of Woodeaton, MP for Oxfordshire 1831-7[1].
Arms: Ermine, on a cross gules five escallops argent (Weyland), with inescutcheon of pretence Gules, a fess between two chevrons argent (Nourse). The left hatchment is for the death of the wife (sinister/wife's half black) and the right hatchment is for the death of the husband (all black background).
