English: A view of the fishdeck and bridge of the Ross Tiger, taken from atop of the whaleback. The viewer can see the 'washer', for cleaning the fish after gutting, attached aft-side of the mast. The hatches in the centre of the deck lead from the washer to the 'fishroom' below. The Robertson Electric Trawl Winch can be seen in place in front of the bridge, used for hauling the trawl and other heavy lifting. The for'd gallows can be seen in the near left hand side of the picture with the trawl door (otter door/board) stowed behind it. The trawl winch contains 1000 fathoms (6000ft) of 1" thick steel cable, known as warps, which run around the deck bollards to each gallows (pronounced gallass). The anchor winch and mooring windlass can be seen in the immediate forground of the picture, located on the fo'cstle/top of the whaleback.
